On October 24, 2023 City of Fontana Mayor Acquanetta Warren and the Fontana City Council presented the Legacy Bridges Foundation, Inc. with a Proclamation, proclaiming that November 2023 is National Epilepsy Awareness Month & invited residents to gain an understanding of epilepsy and how it affects those around them. This special recognition in acknowledgement of our continuous commitment to raise awareness about epilepsy and to support those in need, was a trailblazing moment and tremendous achievement for the epilepsy community.
Epilepsy is a very heavy topic that doesn't get the rating or attention of other diseases that are more commonly discussed and it is important that we use our platform to let those battling the disease know that they are not alone. Stand with us in support of this great cause.

SNOOP Special Stars (SSS) invited the Legacy Bridges Foundation, Inc. to participate at their 5th Annual SNOOP Special Stars Football & Cheer Camp. The SSS division serves all Special Needs children and young adults (5-18+) with physical and intellectual disabilities. Inspiring Stars in a fun and safe environment sportsmanship and physical fitness. SSS goal is to break the negative stigma surrounding Special Needs and to provide supportive and positive resources within inner city communities and surrounding areas.
On September 30, 2022, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed legislative bill AB 1810 Seizure Safe Schools Act, which will equip schools with the necessary tools to provide a safe and enriching environment for our students. This bill passage raises awareness and will implement a uniform standard of care and response across our state.
Our students with epilepsy and other seizure disorders will now have access to the care they need to reach their full academic potential. The long awaited change for a community of people that have been isolated for so long is now starting to take place. Change is happening.
